UX/UI Designer (Freelancer/ Part-time Position)
SPINSim: our Software as a Medical Device
Join our team of engineers, software developers, and medical experts in the development of a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) platform. This platform is aimed at helping surgeons and medical doctors to enhance spine healthcare, from planning to surgery and beyond.
At MDsim, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience and interface of our medical software, ensuring it meets both usability and regulatory standards while integrating advanced features in an intuitive manner.

Your Responsibilities
- Design & UX Strategy: Develop and refine the user experience and interface of new and existing features within our SaMD platform.
- Feature Integration: Collaborate with the product owner to integrate complex functionalities into a clear, user-friendly design.
- Prototyping: Create mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and user flows effectively.
- User-Centered Design: Conduct user research and usability testing to optimize workflows for medical professionals.
- Iterative Development: Work closely with the product manager to refine and implement design solutions that are aligned with both user needs and technical feasibility.
What we are looking for:
- MSc (or BSc with relevant experience) in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Figma or similar UI/UX tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, particularly in cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail, ensuring both functionality and aesthetics in design.
- Good to have (but not necessary): previous experience in web-based software and in healthcare.
Additional Information
- Freelancer or part-time position with the possibility of extension to full-time if you are a good fit.
- Remote work is possible, but on-site presence in Luxembourg is preferred.
